Hunting the Texas prairies and marshes of the Gulf Coast and the prairies of Saskatchewan, Canada offers some of the finest duck and goose hunting found anywhere in the world.

Our home base in Texas is El Campo. We operate in five Texas Counties: Wharton, Matagorda, Jackson, Colorado, and Austin. We have land in all these areas to be able to consistently stay on the birds to ensure all of our hunters have a great hunt.

We offer white wing dove hunts in the Central Zone as well as the South Zone. Our Central Zone dove hunts are based out of Sealy, Texas and our South Zone dove hunts are based out of El Campo, Texas. We plant multiple sunflower fields each fall solely for the purpose of attracting and holding large quantities of doves. We also offer Early Season Texas Teal Hunts. We flood up countless acres of water for the September season.

Teal hunting is definitely a Texas tradition. Our Texas Ducks hunts take place over countless managed moist soil impoundments as well as flooded rice and bean fields. At Backwater, we take pride in strict management practices with rotational hunting to put less pressure on the birds allowing us to hold birds throughout the season. Our Texas Goose Hunting is some of the best in the State. Our area along the gulf coast winters an unbelievable amount of Snow Geese, Specklebelly and Canada Geese.

Texas was labeled as one of the best areas to hunt Snow Geese and the fact still stands true. At Backwater we offer some of the best Goose Hunting in the State. We work hard through scouting and management of countless acres of agricultural farmland to consistently stay on top of birds. We also hold a significant amount of Sandhill Cranes on our properties. The Sandhill Crane is one enjoyable bird to hunt and allows many of our multi day hunters a chance to enjoy some incredible afternoon Crane shoots.

Our Saskatchewan, Canada operation is truly a waterfowler's dream. We offer all inclusive waterfowl hunts in Southeastern Saskatchewan. This is a place where millions of ducks and geese congregate before the long trip south down the Central Flyway. We offer Saskatchewan hunting packages to accommodate all hunters and want everyone to enjoy this magnificent place. The Goose and Duck Hunting can only be explained as the best there is. We hunt ducks and geese in the many agricultural fields in the area. Duck and Goose Hunting in Canada is something every serious waterfowl hunter must partake in at least once in his life.
